SMARTPRESS
Are you looking for a killer chest workout wherever you are ?
SmartPress is what you need ! This sport equipment made of 6 short resistance bands connected to a foam frame offers a total resistance of 80 kilos.
SmartPress has been specially designed to target the chest and perform Chest Press, Chest Flies and weighted Push-Ups, because it resolves 3 limitations of these exercises :
- Feel the resistance from the beginning of the movement and feel the maximum load faster, thanks to shorter elastics;
- Lock the elastics behind your back without hurting yourself, thanks to the foam frame that makes the equipment comfortable;
- Quick and easy to use, as there is no need to manipulate the bands to shorten them.
SmartPress is made of 6 short resistance bands with a total of 80 kg of resistance: 2 x 8 kg (white), 2 x 14 kg (black) and 2 x 18 kg (blue).
Each elastic band measures 16 cm and can stretch up to 5x its initial size, i.e. 80 cm.
A fabric cover surrounds the bands to protect them and to prevent them from stretching more than 5x their original size.
The resistance bands are connected to soft handles, which can be held directly in the hand but can also be used with the SmartWorkout Bar by sliding the bar into the handles.
On the back, the bands are attached to a foam frame, which allows you to lock the bands behind your back comfortably; or lock the bands under your feet without taking the risk that they may slip.
The foam frame is 53 cm long and 12 cm wide.
SmartPress is made of 6 resistance bands with different resistances:
- White: 8 kg each,
- Black: 14 kg each,
- Blue: 18 kg each.
With a maximum total resistance of 80 kg, SmartPress delivers an intense workout experience. If you are craving even more intensity, you can opt for our additional extension of 36 KG. This means you can reach an impressive maximum resistance of 100 KG by simply replacing the white bands with the extension.
The choice of maximum resistance depends on your level: as a general recommendation, we suggest opting for a maximum resistance of 100 KG if you are using over 120 KG for the Chest Press exercise with SmartWorkout Elite, or if you are lifting a weight exceeding 90 KG for the Bench Press with free weights.
As the bands can be removed, SmartPress offers 7 levels of resistance (9 for those aiming for 100 KG). For example, by removing the white bands, the maximum perceived resistance is 64 KG.
The bands reach their maximum resistance when stretched to 4x their initial length, such as during the final phase of a Bench Press movement for most users.
Although the resistance is progressive (low at the beginning of the movement, high at the end of the movement), the maximum resistance is reached quicker because the elastic bands are short.
*Depending on the chosen option.
To cater to all your requirements, we've enhanced the functionalities of SmartPress with two additional options: (i) the choice to select a maximum resistance of up to 100 kg, (ii) the inclusion of rigid handles. Wondering which option is right for you?
The decision for the maximum resistance relies on your fitness level: generally, we recommend opting for a maximum resistance of 100 kg if you're utilizing over 120 kg of resistance on Chest Press with SmartWorkout Elite, or if you're lifting a load exceeding 90 kg in the Bench Press with free weights.
The 100 kg option includes, alongside SmartPress, two short resistance bands with a resistance of 18 kg each. This provides you with a total of 8 elastic bands, which can be swapped out to vary the resistances. To attain a total resistance of 100 kg, you'll need to affix the two blue bands of 18 kg in place of the 8 kg weightlifting elastics.
The rigid handles offer a more secure grip compared to the soft handles - which come included with SmartPress but can't be used with the bar. There are two ways to train with SmartPress: using the handles by holding them directly (useful for a hammer grip) or with the SmartWorkout bar by sliding it into the soft handles. While the bar provides enhanced stability, there isn't a superior training method; it depends on your personal preferences and the grip you prefer!
